And again it shall come to pass that the Lord shall say unto him that shall read the words that shall be delivered him:
“Forasmuch as this people draw near
_unto me with their mouth,
_and with their lips do honor me,
_but have removed their hearts far from me,
_and their fear towards me
_is taught by the precepts of men—“Therefore, I will proceed to do
_a marvelous work among this people,
_yea, a marvelous work and a wonder, [i]2312[/i]
_for the wisdom of their wise and learned
_shall perish,
_and the understanding of their prudent
_shall be hid.”
